The Story Behind Our Name
Our name comes from two streets near and dear to our founder and principal designer Liz Dickson: Millbrook Road, where she grew up, and Tyrone Circle, the first home she and her husband made their own. Put them together, and you get Millbrook Circle.
It’s a representation of what we believe about home: that it means something—everything, really. And it should be designed to feel that way. We treat every project accordingly: with the care, attention, and personal investment that something this important deserves

Liz Dickson
Owner & Principal Designer, Allied ASID
With dual degrees in interior design and business, and over 20 years of design leadership, Liz brings the creative vision to imagine what your home could be, and the savviness to get it there.
At the heart of her approach is a genuine curiosity about how her clients live and what matters to them. By listening closely, building trust, and guiding with confidence and warmth, she creates spaces that represent their distinct personalities and lifestyles—classic in spirit, yet completely their own.
Liz’s work has appeared in Elle Decor and on HGTV’s House Hunters Renovation, to name a few. She's been named a Top 100 Designer by Home & Design Magazine and has won first place in both the ASID/Home & Design Magazine Design Competition and Baltimore Magazine’s Home and Design Competition.
Outside time well-spent in the studio, she's a wife, mother to two grown children, and semi-serious gardener who applies the same patience to a perennial border as she does to an interior project. Both take time, reward attention, and have a way of teaching you something new.
Missy Nemirow
Design Assistant
With degrees in Art History and Art Education, Missy's deep visual background is both formal and lived. Her love of design has defined her personal and professional life in equal measure, from a long career as an educator to launching her own interior design business in 2014, specializing in small and shared spaces. What began as a spark of an idea on her daughter's college move-in day grew into a busy dorm design business spanning multiple campuses.
Missy's knowledge of classical design, color theory, and current trends makes her an invaluable part of the Millbrook Circle team, bringing careful attention, a practiced eye, and genuine enthusiasm to every project.
